Yes, help me get my daughter to college

Ahhhhhh! I’m so glad you’re here!

So, your child wants to play college ball? That’s soooooo exciting!!!

Obviously, you only get one shot at this with your child. I want to make sure you have the information and resources you need to create as many opportunities as you possibly can.

Here are the kinds of things I often hear from parents …

“It seems like there’s so much to do that I don’t even know where to start. I know there’s more to it than grades and attending exposure events, but I feel like I don’t have the exact details on what else we should be doing.”

You’re not alone! And it’s a great thing that you even realize there’s more to it than just getting good grades, playing well, and attending events! I can sit down with you and your child and help you get clear on what your best next steps are. Contact me to request a free college strategy session 🙂

“I don’t think my daughter can play in college. She had one bad year in high school and her GPA is under 3.0.”

Good news! Your daughter does NOT have to give up on her dream of going to college and playing softball because she had a bad year and her grades slipped below 3.0 😉

I have seen kids with 2.2s receive multiple offers and acceptance letters and go on to college. I have heard of kids with even lower GPAs than that move on as well. One rough year, or “struggling in the classroom,” doesn’t have to completely derail your daughter’s future. You might be surprised at just how much is possible if you are determined to find solutions and open to various options.

If your child is in the “not the best GPA in the world” situation right now, there’s still hope. Contact me to learn more about this.

“We’re probably going to need help with the recruiting process, but my daughter is only a sophomore, so we have a year …”

Just because DI coaches can’t contact you until Sept. 1 junior year doesn’t mean that NOTHING happens before then, nor does it mean there’s nothing for you to do until then!

Please do not wait until September of junior year to START putting the pieces in place.

There are some critical elements you can take care of during freshman/sophomore year. If you have no idea what you could be doing, shoot me a message. Let’s chat.

My daughter is a 4.0 student. She loves this game and wants to play in college. Her coach said he’d help her get recruited, but nothing seems to be happening yet. She’s a junior this year. Help!

Your coach IS an important piece of the college recruiting puzzle, but please do not make it his/her sole responsibility to get YOUR child to college. There are things you and your child can do to give yourselves the best chance at generating multiple offers and finding a school that is a solid fit for your child academically, athletically, socially, and financially.

If you need help identifying how to get from where you are now to where you want to be, I can help you with that. Contact me to schedule a free strategy session HERE.

My daughter is a senior, she has big goals, but is open to any opportunity she can get. She’s been contacting coaches, but doesn’t seem to have any interest. What else can we do to help her?

There are lots of reasons why this could be happening and I can take a look at what’s going on in your unique situation and help you figure that out. If you find yourself in this situation, contact me ASAP with your child’s GPA, test scores (if you have them), and video. Let’s get together and see if we can identify where the breakdown is.

If you don’t yet relate to any of the above scenarios and you just need a starting point, some things to consider, as you enter the college recruiting process with your child, here’s a great place to start …
