Yes, please understand this!

If all you’re doing is showing up to regularly scheduled practices (like every other team/athlete does) don’t expect to have an edge over your competition.

You’ve got to give yourself some kind of edge (aka extra) in training if you want to give yourself an advantage on game days. Doing the same thing as everyone else will likely just give your the same results as “everyone” else. You want different results than “everyone” else?

Do something above and beyond the “norm” (what “everyone” else does) in your day to day habits and/or training. Game day advantages and success starts in TRAINING/practices. Give yourself an edge!

P.S. – this above and beyond can look many different ways.
Doesn’t just have to be more time on the field or in the cages.
