Is your athlete/team really ready for the next level?

I saw this tweet and it reminded me of a blog post I published over 10 years ago. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again …

That college scholarship is just the BEGINNING.
Then the real work begins!

And the video shared in this blog post? That was probably just PART of their workout for the day. I’m sure that, in this day in age, you can find many more examples online of what a college softball workout looks like.

I encourage you to go take a look.
What are college athletes doing?
And are your athletes truly prepared for that next level?

You see, I ran track in high school.
I attended a high school that required us to run a 15k freshman year, do a biathlon for time sophomore year, and complete a 10k for time Jr and Sr year for P.E.

I was NOT out of shape nor a stranger to conditioning.
But I was still not very well prepared for college level workouts.

I didn’t know how tough it was going to be and NO ONE in my circle gave me a clue. Likely because they simply didn’t know. But I want you (and your team/child) to have a clue. I want you know better than I did, and be more prepared, than when I got to college.

Thus this post and the reference to this blog post.
