Simple Shifts Series: From Pessimism, Despair, Sadness to Relieved, Optimistic, Ready to Face Challenges

Peppermint is the essential oil I recommend to anyone who is feeling a moment of frustration or discouragement.

This frustration or discouragement could be due to an outcome (or lack thereof) or even a moment of frustration with the process itself.

It’s not always easy to stay motivated when signs of progress are unclear or you flat out hit a plateau.

Peppermint brings joy and buoyancy to the heart and soul. It invigorates body, mind, and spirit. It can help you rise above difficulty rather than lettering yourself get dragged down by it. It helps you make the shift from despair, pessimism, upset, sadness to more optimistic, relieved, strength to face the challenge.

Peppermint can be a bit intense for some when used straight out of the bottle. You may need to dilute this oil with a carrier oil for optimal use on your skin. You may want to stick with applying this oil under your feet, since the skin there is less sensitive. Not to mention, peppermint can be incredibly soothing to tired feet after a long day 🙂

Otherwise, go ahead and open up the bottle and take a nice deep breath of the scent of peppermint in.

If you decided to put a drop in the palm of your hand in order to breath this one in, make sure you wash your hands with soap and water after and avoid touching your eyes with peppermint on your hands.

Should you accidentally get peppermint in your eyes, your carrier oil can help alleviate the sting. You can use carriers such as fractionated coconut oil or olive oil for this purpose should you need it.
